Nursery
![]() Our nursery is a stimulating, fun and secure learning environment in which the children thrive. They learn skills by way of new experience. They develop social relationships with others and take the first steps of their education supported by dedicated staff members. We accept children from the age of 3 with intakes, depending upon available spaces, in September, January and April. Please click here to see our Nursery Admissions Policy.
In the Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) we follow the 2012 Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum. Before your child starts nursery, you maybe invited to an open morning or afternoon. This will give you and your child the opportunity to visit the setting and see it in operation, as well as meet the staff and become familiar with the setting. This will dependant upon your child's start date. We offer 3 hours of childcare a day which can be in either a designated morning or afternoon slot. The morning slot runs from 8:40am (with a soft start ending at 8:50am) to 11:40am. The afternoon slot runs from 12:30pm (with a soft start ending at 12:40pm) to 3:30pm. The 15 hours a week of childcare will continue in September 2017. We will not be taking up the option to offer 30 hours of childcare from September 2017 as our provision is not such that it can meet the many and varied requirements. If you are interested in your child starting at Ruislip Gardens Primary School Nursery, please contact us or ring the school office on 01895 632895 to arrange a visit. We try to arrange our visits between Tuesday and Thursday at 10am. This gives a good opportunity to see the school during lesson time and to meet with some of the staff and pupils. Young children are welcome to attend this visit.
